November 2008- From our first article in Merton’s guardian Laura Pauley from excel publications has got in touch with action= reaction for us to feature in the Planning in London yearbook. We will be featured in their article on creating safer neighbourhoods. See more about Laura’s journey on our role model’s page.

November 2008- We have our first 3 youth steering panel members! We are all about raising aspirations of young individuals, so the 3 will be pivotal in our success. If you are between 16- 19 years and passionate about helping others, or generally have strong opinions on positive change for other young people, visit our contact page and contact us!

Novemeber 2008- As our first youth panel member Hartwell joined us on LBC 97.3 FM to give his side of what its like growing up in London. He also met Tre Azam, the show’s presenter and former apprentice to non other than the BBC’s favourite, Sir Alan Sugar!

Novemeber 2008- Saw the start of training courses for our steering group. Part of raising aspirations for us, is showing what careers are available. Thanks to our partnership with Fulham FC our young individual’s were able to enrol on youth work courses at Craven Cottage for free!

October 2008- A big thank you to all our partners and individuals who attended our launch at Pollards Hill youth club! After having another wicked article written up by our media partners ‘your local guardian’, we have had 2 Merton residents send us emails lending their support on a voluntary basis. Thank You!

October 2008- Dwain Chambers dropped in on our launch to inspire those who attended. He came, conquered and has now become our official campaign ambassador. He will be appearing as part of our role models roadshow, as well as flying the flag for more young people’s successes in the mainstream.

September 2008- The Metropolitan Police agree to fund Action= Reaction by donating £2500. With more funds promised to go towards a successful awards ceremony in summer 2009, we look forward to jointly raising aspirations.

September 2008- Your local Guardian comes on board as an official media partner. With a years coverage guaranteed we look forward to celebrating achievements together.
