• I work for Amida Spa in Beckenham, Kent. We offer a wide range of beauty and holistic treatments such as facials, massage, hair removal, tanning etc. We also have Day Spa facilities. I am the weekend reception supervisor. My job role here is to ensure the Spa runs smoothly concerning bookings, Spa clients, Day Spa guests, treatments etc. I organize all of the events within the Spa such as beauty nights and product launches and produce the promotional material for these. I am also a beauty therapist specializing in manicure, pedicure, waxing and tanning treatments.

  I began working at Amida as a weekend and evening receptionist whilst studying a degree in fashion promotion. I began to get involved in the organization of events and also became very interested in beauty and so took evening classes to obtain my VCTC certificate in beauty therapy.

• I got into my position after being excluded from mainstream school and meeting lots of youth from varied backgrounds.
